It is highly popular in the Indian states of Kerala and few areas in Tamil Nadu as well as in areas of Sri Lanka, where it is also known as pittu. we can eat puttu with kadala curry, banana or pappadam.
Ingredients
2) grated coconut
3 water
4) salt
1) add slowly water to ground rice until the correct texture is achieved.
2) It is then spiced, formed and steamed with layers of grated coconut.
3) Puttu is generally cooked in a metal puttu kutti vessel with two sections. The lower section holds water and the upper section holds the puttu
